Trained as a journalist, I spent my 20s writing and reporting in the magazine world, eventually as senior editor for a national publication. Since then, I’ve branched out to work with brands, from campaign copywriting and catalogs to blog management and beyond. I’ve also dabbled in filmmaking as co-director and writer on short brand-supported videos.
But that’s just one thread in the fabric. When I’m not writing, I’m often chugging up local trails in my running shoes, fumbling about in the garden or experimenting with new recipes to use up our CSA veggies. I ride bikes to preschool with my son and have become a children’s book connoisseur. I’ve worked a season in Antarctica, finished ultramarathons, lived in a van for over a year and backpacked in some of America’s most spectacular wildernesses.
I live with my husband and son in Montana.
